The notes about ab_autoRig (ab_autoRig 的問題)

ab_autoRig is a really good free script for biped rigging in Maya. However, there are things I have observed when using this script.
ab_autoRig是一個在Maya很好用的綁定外掛工具,但是,在使用時有幾點需要注意。

Firstly, Don't forget to create the heel locator before setting the leg rigging.

第一,在按下腳的rigging按鈕前,不要忘記先create腳跟(heel)的locator。

Secondly, in order to use the spine shaper control (the middle ring controller for the spine), the model need to be re-skinned after the controller have been setup.

第二,在脊椎控制器製作出來後,模型要先重新skin後才能使用spine shaper control。


Thirdly, flare deformer could be created and parented on the elbow joint after the rig is finished to shrink the size for the stretch arms and legs.

第三,為了製作可伸長手和腳的體積變形,可用parent在手肘上的flare deformer來做變形。

Also, if the chracter is nor a bibed, joints have to be modified or extra joints need to be created.另外,如果角色不是兩手兩腳,必須改變原有的joint,或加上外加的joint
